Hourly Charges & Minimum Required

All local and intrastate moves are billed hourly for labor, subject to a 1-hour work minimum, plus $5 per loaded mile to the drop-off location. Anything over the minimum one hour is billed in 1-minute increments to be as fair as possible to you. There are no hidden charges — it is what it is.

Double Drive Time

California law requires that all licensed and insured moving companies charge double the amount of time it takes to get from point of origin (your pickup address) to point of destination (your delivery address) within the state, at the agreed-upon hourly rate.

Cancellations & Move Date Change Policy

We require at least 72 hours (3 days) notice of move cancellation or date change for a fully refundable deposit.

Payment Method

We do not accept personal or company checks. On local moves we accept Zelle, Venmo, or cash — Zelle preferred, sent to (310) 503-8549, VimGO LLC.

Additional Movers & Overtime

• For each additional professional mover requested by you, the hourly rate increases by $90.00.
• There is a minimum charge of 1 hour.
• After a move exceeds 8 billable hours, additional hours are charged at 1.5 hours each.
• The hourly rate includes Basic Valuation Protection of $0.60 per pound per item.
• The above rates are not subject to sales tax.

Disclaimers & Limits of Liability

• Items/boxes packed by owner: VimGO LLC is not liable for damage to items packed into boxes by the owner or third parties — items requiring professional packing (chinaware, glassware, mirrors, pictures, paintings, lamps and shades, glass tops, statues, box springs, mattresses, etc.).
• Electrical equipment: Not liable for damage to functions of electrical or mechanical appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, computers, televisions, stereo equipment, etc.) due to inherent vice, unless there are exterior outward signs of damage.
• Pre-existing damage: Not liable for pre-existing damage. Items are inspected during loading and any pre-existing damage is documented.
• Simulated wood furniture: Not responsible for damage to simulated wood, particle board, or pressed board furniture — this material is structurally weak and not repairable.
• Parking: Some cities require a "Residential Moving and Large Vehicle" permit. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure legal parking is available for our truck(s). Any parking tickets received during loading or unloading will be added to the final bill with no exceptions.
• Absent customer: Customers must be present at origin to sign moving documents before the move starts, and at destination for the final walk-through. VimGO LLC will not accept claims made by absent customers.
• Disconnect/reconnect: Customers are responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting appliances and electronic devices — movers do not perform this task.
• Constricted spaces: Movers do not exert force to maneuver large furniture through constricted spaces and do not provide hoisting services. Inform us of such situations before booking.
• Truck sizing: Truck size is determined based on the inventory you provide — please give an accurate item list so we send the right size truck.

Parking Permits

If there are on-street parking restrictions at your pickup and/or delivery location, obtain a parking permit for our truck(s) for the days of your move. Any citation fees resulting from missing permits will be added to your move cost. Permits are available from your local city or county government office, or via MovingPermits.com.
